Week 4

Friday 25th March

It has been lovely this week to speak to so many of you on Teams to discuss your child's progress and the fantastic work that they complete. They have become a super team and are very considerate and kind to each other whilst working to the best of their ability.

Today we said farewell to Mr Rowson, our student teacher from Warwick University. I am pleased to report that he passed his PGCE with flying colours and will be looking for jobs in the local area. The children have made great progress in their maths particularly whilst he has been teaching them. The class made him a card with some very kind and thoughtful messages inside and wished him good luck in his future career.

In our learning this week we have completed maths work on length and perimeter and in English we have written our own stories based on the Anglo-Saxon story, Beowulf. In geography we have completed work using atlases to locate key cities in the UK. The most entertaining lesson of the week for me was PE when we continued our look at dances of the world to have a go at dancing the Tango. There are times when I feel very lucky to work with such a talented and creative group of children who will throw themselves into all sorts of activities without any inhibitions.

Our certificate winners this week are Connie who received our class Values Certificate showing that she loves a challenge by completing some great work in all lessons.

Our Head certificate goes to Theo for the kindness, thoughtfulness and all round amazingness by being a fantastic class member.  Well done both of you.
