Week 5 w/e 08.07.22

With the end of the academic year drawing ever nearer, our normal work routine begins to be broken up with other exciting events that everyone enjoys!  Not least this week we have had a very successful moving up morning, watched the "premiere" of the Year 6 leavers play (parents and carers you are in for a treat!), taken part in Race for Life and finally said goodbye to our student teacher Miss Dunn.  We wish her the very best as she looks to begin her teaching career and thank her for all her hard work and dedication in supporting our class.

For the second year running, St Paul's embraced running for a good cause. We prepared our name plates and ran for those less fortunate than ourselves. It was a hot afternoon with plenty of opportunities to rehydrate. UKS2 were out running with us and it was great seeing siblings and friends running together. Thank you for all your contributions; every penny is appreciated!

MATHS UPDATE: In the last couple of weeks we have finished our work on POSITION AND DIRECTION, moved onto LENGTH AND HEIGHT and are currently working on WEIGHT, MASS AND CAPACITY. Nice practical units of maths after everyone's hard work with telling the time.  It would be really helpful if TIME could be consolidated at every opportunity at home, especially times to the nearest 5 minutes and durations of time e.g. I have to go to bed at 7.30pm and my favourite film starts at 6.15pm.  How long can I watch the film before bed time?
Thank you, as always, for your support with learning at home.

In maths, we have also had a go at group problem solving...

Our NETBALL SKILLS are coming along brilliantly! ...
