In English the children have really enjoyed learning how to write a Kenning. We have been looking at the features of a non-fiction text and have been learning to speak 'Dragonese'! 

In Maths they have been learning to multiply two digit numbers by one digit. The children learnt a range of strategies including using base 10, partitioning and short multiplication. The children really enjoyed the NSPCC Number day on Friday, they wrote number facts including the numbers that were on their clothes, they did practical division tasks and enjoyed playing some number games. They particularly enjoyed playing Sumoku, it really helps them to learn the multiples of 3,4 and 5. 

In Science the children investigated magnets and sorted materials by magnetic or not-magnetic.
