Week 2
We have had another great week. The children enjoyed exploring the meaning of 'building a future' from our class text What We'll Build. The children were inspired by the illustrations and worked with a partner to paint and draw what we would like in our futures. The children were very thoughtful in our class discussions and drew images of caring for our planet. We discussed how to resolve conflicts and the children drew posters with messages of unity and kindness.
In Thrive we were learning to work with different partners, enabling the children to get to know each other well. They worked collaboratively to draw and colour a robot.
In Science the children went on a rock hunt around the school, finding all the different materials in the school building that are made from rock. They were fascinated to find out what materials came from rock.
