In English we used a parachute to re-enact the eruption of a Mount Vesuvius and then the children wrote a descriptive recount of the eruption. 

In Maths the children have been learning adding and subtracting with money and giving change.  

The children really enjoyed meeting our visitor, Mrs Newbold's Mum came to speak to us about her memories of the Queen's coronation. The children listened intently and asked thoughtful questions. It was fascinating hearing about her memories from 70 years ago.
