Continuous Provision

We have been using the resources provided, both inside and outside the classroom to become active learners through play and exploration. Some of the activities included using the outdoor bricks to create buildings, mindful colouring, stencil art, creating shapes from wooden sticks and practicing number and letter formation. The scissor cutting sheets allowed us to develop our fine motor skills to support us with pencil control.

Here We Are 

We have been reading the book 'Here We Are' by Oliver Jeffers. We used the picture from the book to think of some questions to broaden our understanding of the world. We ensured we used the 5W's (who, what, when, where, why) and a question mark at the end. We discussed how to look after other living things and created bird feeders using cereal, pipe cleaners and string. 

Maths

We represented objects using numerals and pictures. We thoroughly enjoyed completing the challenges using the dry erase pockets. We have been working on our number formation and used the numicons and counters to count forwards.
