Hello Year 4

Hello year 4! So this is it, the final week of what has been the most bizarre academic year ever. As much as it is s strange end there is so much to look forward to come September when hopefully we can return to some form of normality. I hope you enjoy your summer holidays, make sure you relax and enjoy time with your families. Come in well rested in September ready to hit the ground running!

Final Week Challenge

There is no new home learning pack this week but do feel free to go back over the old packs as I am sure there will be some work in there to complete.

I do however have one final challenge for you and it is one I think you will enjoy. Your task is to create a Lockdown Timeline. This timeline will start from when the school closed in March and run through to the final week of term. It can include pictures, memories, key events, birthdays, work you are proud of and anything else you can think of! It could be presented on paper or using ICT. This will hopefully be a brilliant memento of this strange time and one that you can look back on when this all seems a distant memory. I hope you enjoy!

A Massive Thanks

I just wanted to use this final weekly message to say thank you to all the KS2 staff for the last few months. I know how hard you have worked and the efforts you have put in to keep the website up to date, the work available and being on hand to answer questions from parents and children. I am sure that all of the KS2 children and parents will join me in saying THANK YOU!

As always if you want to share work that you have done with your teachers then send it via the admin email ( and staff will have it sent on to them. The Home Learning Gallery is always worth looking at to see what your friends and classmates have been up to.

Stay safe and speak soon,

Mr. H

Miss Woodcock's weekly update

(updated every Friday)

Hello 3/4A. Hope you've all had a good week. As we go into the final week of the term next week, the teachers have been busy getting everything organised for you ready for September. Seems strange to be packing down our classroom when I don't get to see you all. But, I am looking forward to seeing you in September even though you'll be in different classes. By now you'll either have received or are due to receive your school report and class information for next year. It was lovely to be able to reflect whilst writing your reports on how much you've all grown since September. I hope you take the time to read them and be proud of what you've achieved; especially those who have worked hard with their home learning since March. Keep an eye on this page next week as i'll be posting a goodbye message from me and Mrs Wells and your new class teacher and TA's will have a video for you too. Stay safe and enjoy the final week before a well deserved rest during the summer holidays.

Mathletics - Well done to to Amy. B, Aydin, Lola, Henry, Hanna, Ava, Ezra, Sophia, Niamh and Florence for working on the shape work this week.

Spelling Shed - Congratulations to Aditi, Artharva, Marley, Emma, Richard, Zach, Betsy and Ava for doing some work on spelling shed this week.

This is the final Spelling Shed and Mathletics work of the year. But, I haven't put a due date for Mathematics for those who wish to do some work over the summer. Well done to those children who've managed to log on and do work - I can see and feel so proud of you all.

Star of the week:

Over the next few days you will be receiving your school report and information all about your new class and new class teacher. I have to say it was really nice working on your reports and reflecting on all the hard work and fun we had when we were together and celebrating all of your achievements. You should feel extremely proud of yourselves!

Mrs Lee's & Mrs Bown's Weekly Update

(updated every Monday)

Monday 6th July 2020

Hello 4C!

How are you all? Mrs Bown and I have loved hearing from you and speaking to so many of you over the last few weeks. We will be making more phone calls before the end of term so we hope to speak to even more of you and hear all of your news. You are doing fantastically well with your Home Learning judging by all of the emails we receive. If you haven't sent any of your work to us so far we would still love to receive photos so we can see what you have been doing. Well done to all of you who took up the curry cooking challenge from the latest home learning pack! It was lovely (and mouth watering!) to see the amazing curries cooked by Eliza and Anya. Have any of you got a photo you still want to send us?

Another challenge for you this week - inspired by Katie! Katie has sent me a photo of a letter she has written to you all to tell you her news and to say how much she is missing you (I have added it to the 4C Gallery for you to see). I thought it would be lovely if some of you could reply to Katie or even write a letter to the whole class then I can add them to the website so we can all find out what each other has been doing. Go on! Give it a go ! Any emails Mrs Bown and I receive will be added to the website. We look forward to receiving them!

Stars of the week:

Well done to all of you who have been consistently engaging with their Home Learning while school has been closed to most of you. They have regularly sent us work of a very high standard which has been uploaded on to the 4C Gallery page for you all to see.
