In English this week, the children began to write their own versions of Neil Gaiman's The Wolves in the Walls. The children enjoyed lots of shared writing, exploring different techniques for creating character and setting descriptions and of course writing their own stories. In maths we re-visited multiplication and division where the children worked on multiplying and dividing larger numbers whilst then looking to apply these skills into reasoning problems.
In DT we practiced hand stitching. Time was spent trying to thread a needle, tie a knot and learn how to do running stitch, backstitch and overcast stitch. We decided to put our new skills into practise and everybody made a Christmas bauble for our class Christmas tree. We are delighted with the results and are all starting to feel very festive.
