Week Beginning 30th November
Please remember to look at Tapestry to find out more about what we have been getting up to on a daily basis. The children are all working really hard and would love to show off their work and progress with you.
On Monday we celebrated St. Andrew's Day.
We watched some videos about children preparing and getting ready for this celebration. We then had a go at doing a variety of different things. Some of us painted the Scottish flag, some made thistles, some made the Loch Ness Monster with the playdough and some of us did some St. Andrew's Day counting!
In R.E we have begun to think about the story of Christmas. We looked at some key figures from the story thought about who was the most important and we thought about why Christmas is so important to Christians.
In our growing learning time we had a go at drawing and painting pictures of the people in the story.
In maths this week we have looked at 4 sided shapes. We now know that a square and rectangle both have 4 sides and 4 corners but are different because a rectangle has two long sides and two short sides. We went on a hunt around the classroom to look for these shapes and also became shape detectives and had a look at some pictures to see what shapes we could find.
