Week beginning 22nd March

We have been exploring the different pictures we can make with various  pieces of a tangram. We have had to challenge ourselves to persevere to select, rotate and move the different pieces around so that they fit into the outlines.

Investigating ways to make different numbers

In maths we have been looking at different ways to make a given number. We have used our fingers, cubes, tens frames and other resources to investigate numbers. Some of us decided to challenge ourselves during free flow to select a number and find different ways of making it.

Our vegetable experiment

Over the last two weeks our cut vegetables have started to grow. It has taken a long time. We think this might be because our windows are open a lot and at times this make the classroom rather cold!
