Week 7
We have reached the end of the penultimate week and the pace certainly hasn't slowed down. The children have had an exciting week with a brilliant trip to the National Space Centre (photos below). With the sun still shining as well there have been lots of happy smiley faces which is what we love to see!
English - Our learning this week was based around our visit to the National Space Centre. The children discussed their visit and what they particularly liked about it. We then looked at features of a customer review (using some real life Trip Advisor reviews). The children then began to plan their own reviews of the National Space Centre.
Maths - Year 6 were back with myself and Mrs Young where we worked on multiplying 2 and 3 digit numbers by a 2 digit number. It was tricky at times but the children really impressed us with their perseverance and good humour. The year 5 children worked brilliantly with Mrs Wellicome.
Afternoon subjects - In science we looked at the Sun and how it is the centre of our solar system. The children were putting together their own dance routines in PE and did some brilliant work in RE and RSE.
Star of the Week - This week the award went to Malcolm who has had a fantastic term so far. Well done Malcolm.
