In the penultimate week of the term it has continued to be a busy time in 5/6B. The children have been getting into the festive spirit and this week made Christmas cards for residents of local care homes and also patients at the rehabilitation hospital. This was a fantastic opportunity to spread a little festive cheer to those whose Christmas could be a little different this year. On Friday the children also enjoyed the new look Christmas Fair! Thank you to the PTA for organising such a brilliant event, the children loved it. Back to the classroom, there was lots of fantastic work on show this week. In English the children finished their stories based on The Wolves in the Walls. The children then spent time looking at the features of graphic novels and spotting them in various different examples. The children then began to plan and design their own graphic novel page based on their own stories. In maths we were working on statistics and time this week. The children interpreted a range of data from tables and graphs. Some children even had a go at some data analysis from the last three Olympic games. In DT the children began to make their designs and there was some amazing sewing work on display. In RE the children looked at the life of Jesus and why Christians believe that he was the son of God.
