Friday 4th October 

This week has passed by in a blur as the class have been busy cracking on with our curriculum topics. 

In Maths we completed our work on place value. In English we have looked at Non-Chronological Reports on the International Space Centre in readiness for our trip to the National Space Centre in Leicester next week. We have researched lots of information about life on the ISS which has been fascinating. Next week the children will be writing their own reports using the information they have found out. We also continued our Earth and Space topic in Science. In history, we looked at the developments in tools and weapons from the Bronze Age to the Iron Age.  As part of the new RE curriculum we continued studying ancient stories from a variety of faiths and discussed how relevant they still are to us today.

Our Values certificate winner this week is Sofia who has shown the values of Brave and Challenging by setting in very well to life at St Paul's after joining the school a few weeks ago. The recipient of the Upper KS2 Head certificate this week is Ella who approaches all activities with a positive attitude whilst demonstrating all of our school values consistently. Well done to them both.
