Week 4

Hello 5/6B. I hope that you all have had a lovely week and managed to enjoy the snow at the weekend. It is funny how something as simple as snow can suddenly cheer everyone up. I went out in my garden with Freddie and attempted to build a snowman but he was more interested in hiding his dinosaurs in the snow (he is obsessed with dinosaurs at the moment). In school I know that the children loved going out on the field and building snowmen and having a snowball fight, all great fun!

It has been good to catch up with so many of you on Teams or in school. I know I say it all the time but it really is the highlight of my day seeing you all. The Wednesday sessions are rapidly becoming the most anticipated part of my week. This week involved: hamsters, chickens, quizzes and just general hilarity, remember that phrase, 'Laughter is good for the soul' I think Wednesday proves that it is true.

Keep up the hard work with your home learning, I know it is hard at times but remember that a routine is crucial, it will make it easier. Remember to watch the video lessons as they really will help and keep sending your work to me either via email or in your file on the 5/6B Teams page, I check it everyday.

The song this week is from a band that we have played before, Foo Fighters. One of my absolute favourite bands and the lead singer Dave Grohl is possibly the nicest man on the planet (he said some lovely things about teachers this week). Enjoy it and listen to the lyrics, I think they are particularly poignant (word of the week, prizes for whoever tells me its meaning) in the current climate.

Stay safe and speak soon,

Mr H
