In English we used everything we had learnt over the past week to create our own gargoyle poems. We then checked, edited and redrafted our poems and wrote up the final version for display. We are all very proud of how amazing our poems and gargoyles look on display.
In Maths we have been practising our written methods of addition, subtraction and short multiplication.
In science, the children chose a planet (or Sun or Moon) to research and create a fact page about for our classroom display. We all learnt a lot. Did you know that one day on Venus (complete rotation on its axis) is longer than a year (time it takes to orbit the sun)!
We have used the mnemonic RUCSAC to help us solve word problems accurately.
