Race For Life

2C had lots of questions about Race for Life and Cancer Research. We shared a thoughtful discussion and then some of us wrote our "I race for life for..." cards. We all enjoyed the freedom of our run and ended our day with a prayer of thanks for our good health and asked that God watch over those who are poorly and need our support.

Our science has seen us considering what plants need to grow. We have set up an experiment to answer the question - Do plants need soil to grow?

In maths we have begun our work on TIME...learning rhymes about days of the week, months of the year, looking at clocks and discussing hours, minutes and seconds.

During this Summer term, we have been learning about the life cycle of a butterfly.  Many of the children have been able to watch and learn about this process at home by having their own caterpillars and at St Paul's all classes are lucky enough to have their own too.  We have successfully grown our caterpillars and watched them form into chrysalides.  We are now eagerly awaiting the transformation to take place...  WATCH THIS SPACE smiley
