Another busy week in 3A. We have had our class and individual photos which was a lovely opportunity after not being able to last year. The children all looked very smart!
Topic - We've been busy learning about the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb and what Howard Carter found in there.
English - we've taken part in a class debate about if the story ended happily or not and then written our own letters to the main characters family in first person.
Maths we have been tackling division in scales up to 100 and started using the chunking method which we will continue with next week.
Guided reading - this week we studied an advert and found synonyms and antonyms for feelings, discussed some verbal comprehension questions and sequenced the events in the story. The children loved this and did fantastic in their independent task!
We also had some great spelling scores this week and some that require improvement. Please make sure children use spelling shed to access their spellings for the week so we can continue on our journey to becoming super spellers.
Enjoy the long weekend and stay safe,
