Week Beginning 19th November
This week we are making our own weather diaries. We looked at different weather symbols. We are taking it in turns to use a thermometer to check the outside temperature. We are recording our observations on a chart in our curriculum books.
Photos will follow once we have finished our charts.
In English we have been making our own booklets all about autumn. Our booklets have titles, heading, text and pictures. Some of us also wrote a contents page for our booklet.
We painted the clay poppies that we made last week.
Sensational Salads - Thursday 15th November
We tried 3 different salads; beetroot salad, potato salad and coleslaw.
We thought of words to describe the salads and then we made tally charts to show our favourite salad.
Monday 12th November
We have thinking about the soldiers who died in the wars. We made poppy pictures using black, white and grey patterned paper and tissue paper.
We made poppies out of clay. We used water to join the petals together. When the clay has dried we are going to paint our poppies.
Week Beginning 5th November
In English we have been thinking about Bonfire Night.
First we wrote some instructions to tell people how to use sparklers safely.
We listened to the story of The Gunpowder Plot.
We ordered the pictures and wrote the story in our own words.
