Week Beginning 25th February

Welcome back!

This half term we will be learning about the different continents.

We started by listening to the song in the link below.

This week we looked at the largest continent Asia. We learnt that China has the largest population out of all the countries in Asia. We thought about Chinese New Year and then made dragon puppets.

Week beginning 11th February

We made posters and wrote fact sheets about Ernest Shackleton. On Wednesday we acted out his adventure on The Endurance. We were glad that we didn't really get stuck in Antartica for months and months.

We also enjoyed looking at the non-fiction books people sent in. We were lucky enough to be able to try on a pair of gloves that were made for a Polar expedition in the 1930s!

Week Beginning 4th February

We have started to learn about Ernest Shackleton. He was an explorer. He sailed on The Endurance to the Southern Ocean. He wanted to cross Antarctica. You can find out more about him by clicking on the link below.

In maths we are looking at arrays. We had to match them to their corresponding statements.
