Comprehensions or phonics worksheets - these will no longer be sent. Reading books will be sent on Mondays and Thursdays now.

Mathletics - set weekly on a Friday. Children to complete 30 minutes of Mathletics homework a week.

Spelling Shed - Spellings are set and handed out on Friday's and tests are on Friday's. The children will be given a chance to practise them in the week with Miss Woodcock or Mrs Medlock.

Reading books - Children will be given a reading book on a Monday and Thursday. Please can they bring in their diaries and books on BOTH Monday and Thursday to be checked. If children need a new book, they will be issued with 1 book on a Monday to return on a Thursday and 1 book on a Thursday to return on a Monday. This has been updated so that children will have books over the weekend. Please make sure you do return your books once you've finished with them as they then need to be quarantined for 2 days before they can be used by another child.

18th September update:

I have uploaded some lovely self portraits that the children drew of themselves as the final lesson looking at the book, 'Here We Are'. Then, the children were given a postit with another child's name on that they needed to write something positive on. They delivered their secret messages which were stuck onto the bottom of their self portraits to show how amazing and special they all are. It was a heartfelt lesson!

Highlights of the week: The children took part in some brilliant and beautiful discussions in English about how we are all unique and what makes us different to one another.

Spelling Shed, Mathletics and Purple Mash logins and homework has been set with further information listed bellow.

Enjoy the sunshine,

Miss Woodcock
