Welcome to 3/4 B!

Your teachers are Mrs Lee (Mon, Tues and Weds) and Mrs Bright (Thurs and Fri).

Our class TA is Miss Mancini.

Monday 1st March 2021

Hello 3/4B,

We hope you have had a lovely weekend in the sunshine and have managed to get out and see some of the signs of Spring that are starting.

We hope you are looking forward to coming back to school as much as we are. Next Monday 8th will be our first day back after hopefully our last lockdown during the Covid epidemic. Have a great last week of home learning this week and we will see you back in school very soon.

Take care,

Mrs Lee and Mrs Bright

Reminders:

The remote learning section for you has moved and can be found in the class pages section of the website. In this folder you will find information about remote learning and also the remote learning for the week. If you wish to send teachers work then you can contact us through our work emails (please send to both: lee.j2@welearn365.com and bright.s4@welearn365.com ) or on lks2@welearn365.com. We always love hearing from you and seeing your work. Examples of work that has been sent to us will be regularly added to our class page.

We have continued to set spellings on Spelling Shed, maths on Mathletics and reading on Bug Club so please remember to log in to them and complete some activities.

Teams sessions: On a Monday we will be doing an English / Grammar activity, on Wednesday we will be doing a Thrive activity as well as practicing our spellings, and on a Friday we will be completing some maths activities with you. Please also keep a look out for an invitation to drop-in sessions (on either a Tuesday or a Thursday) when we will be online to discuss any queries or problems that you are having. If you need support outside of these times please drop either of us an email and we will contact you during school hours. Happy Home Learning! See you online soon.

Certificates

Values award

During lockdown we will continue to publish our values certificates online when we have noticed children have done something relevant to our School Values.

This week we have awarded a certificate to Lyra.

Lyra has been working so hard at home. Lyra is always ready and eager to learn during our Teams sessions. She has particularly impressed me each week with her knowledge in maths.  Well done and keep working hard!

Homework:

Comprehensions - these will no longer be sent. Reading books will be sent on Mondays and Thursdays now.

Mathletics - set weekly. Children to complete 30 minutes of Mathletics homework a week.

Spelling Shed - Spellings are set and handed out on a Friday and tests are also on a Friday.

Bug Club - As a school, we have a trial for Bug Club which is an online reading resource for children. They can log on and access all of the books in their book band and there are comprehension questions for the children to complete when they see a bug. Please write in the children's diary or email the KS2 email for any comments on this platform so we know if it is worth purchasing.

Reading books - Children will be given a reading book on a Monday and Thursday. Please can they bring in their diaries and books on BOTH Monday and Thursday to be checked. If children need a new book, they will be issued with 1 book on a Monday to return on a Thursday and 1 book on a Thursday to return on a Monday. This has been updated so that children will have books over the weekend. Please make sure you do return your books once you've finished with them as they then need to be quarantined for 2 days before they can be used by another child.

P.E

P.E lessons will take place on a Monday afternoon with Mr Barnes and a Tuesday morning with Mrs Lee. Please can children come into school wearing their P.E kits and stay in them all day.
